Outreach is seeking a Part Time Family Therapist to work in the Outpatient Unit located in Bellport, Long Island. The Part Time Family Therapist is responsible for the delivery and implementation of family assessments, education and coordination of family services and referral services and serves as a member of the treatment team. The Schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm; 19 hrs.
What You Will Do:
Provide family counseling and/or family therapy with clients and their family members.
Complete family assessments for clients in the track in the outpatient program.
Develop family-focused treatment plans with clients.
Develop and facilitate parent-education groups and activities as appropriate.
Provide individual sessions with clients and families as indicated.
Facilitate appropriate Chemical Dependency Education groups for clients and families.
Provide referrals to needed community-based services, which will support treatment goals and prevent dropout.
Maintain communication and teamwork with clinical staff to integrate and enhance clinical services.
Document activity and outcomes using acceptable measures and tools.
Actively participate in all meetings (i.e., staff meetings, case conference, team meetings and individual supervision) by being prepared utilizing problem-solving skills and providing appropriate feedback to team members.
Provide backup coverage in the event of other clinical staff absences.
