Job Overview
- Carleton Energy Consulting is a market leader in the energy field that specialized in assessing energy needs and partners with clients to optimize short & long-term cost-saving plans.
- We are seeking a PE Engineer to Lead the energy audits and the retro-commissioning processes on how to assess current energy use then make recommendations to optimize efficiency and minimize cost.
- The candidate will be required to maintain, develop, and train the energy team on the executions of the energy audits and the retro commissioning measures.
- We are specifically looking for an engineer who is interested in hands-on field testing and commissioning as the role will have some field work/training
Key Responsibilities:
- Work autonomously to lead the energy audits, retro-commissioning, measurement, and verification (M&V) and own the final deliverables.
- Lead clean energy project inducing scope development, energy savings calculations, and cost estimating
- Review the quality of Audit/Retro-Commissioning team data collection and reporting tools.
- Address energy deficiencies and recommend possible energy conservations elements through a retro commissioning list to be submitted to clients.
- Effectively resolve challenges faced with clients/contractors/evaluators/governing entities to address deficiencies and/or inconsistencies in calculations and/or policy adherence.
- Work with energy team and project managers to track and implement various energy efficiency measures.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work very well with site client leadership and site facilities personnel.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- At Least three years of energy experience and retro commissioning related work.
- Experience with all industrial HVAC, boilers, lighting, cooling towers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, split systems, optimizing building automation systems (BMS), and other energy efficiency measures.
- Solid knowledge and experience to recognize and recommend various types of energy efficiency measures including Low-Cost measures as well as capital retrofit and equipment replacement measures.
- Field experience in independently conducting energy audits, mainly NYC LL87 and verification inspections.
- Degree in engineering, technology, energy systems, or other related fields is required.
- Professional Engineering Certification is required.
- Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, or other relevant credentials are required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
