The Summit Counseling Center, a private, non-profit counseling center operating in North-Metro Atlanta, is announcing an immediate practice opportunity for a fully licensed coupes therapist with expertise in treating Christian couples. Preference for a therapist with Certification as a Sex Therapist or Christian Sex Therapist; or, a willingness to become certified in this area.
Founded in 1990 in Johns Creek, Georgia, The Summit Counseling Center has grown significantly over the years and currently operates from multiple locations across north Fulton County. Our facilities are attractive, professional, and fully furnished. We provide services in stand-alone centers as well as inside partner churches and schools.
The Summit is an accredited affiliate of the Solihten Institute and, as such, believes that there is a close relationship of mind, body, spirit, and community. The Summit provides spiritually integrated services that honor the culture, values, and religious/spiritual preferences of our clients throughout the therapeutic process.
Our clinical staff is multi-disciplinary, representing a variety of mental health licensures and a wide range of specializations. Each therapist has access to [JH1][NB2]a professional marketing team to support the development of their practice. Additionally, our business office staff that supports therapists in initiating referrals, scheduling clients, processing payments, and managing billing.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is a full-time, office-based position for a therapist who has experience using evidence-based interventions for couples therapy and sex therapy.
- The ideal candidate will be interested in building a long-term, thriving practice in the North Fulton area.
- Our therapists generally work 5 days per week and are willing to offer some evening hours to support their clients. Saturday hours are also available from 9AM to 1PM for therapists who choose to work these high-demand hours.
- Therapists who come to the Center as Full-Time employees are immediately eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spend accounts, dependent care, and short/long-term disability.
- Every therapist has access to a 403B Retirement Plan immediately and the Center will match a percentage of your contribution after 1 year of service.
Licensure Requirements
- Licensed in Georgia at the FULLY-LICENSED level (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist)
Preferred qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have specific experience in utilizing sex therapy with Christian couples and individuals
- Have expertise or certification in at least one evidence-based modality for working with couples (Gottman certification, Emotion-focused therapy for couples, Certified Sex Therapist, etc.)
- Enjoy providing training and increasing mental health awareness through attending and speaking at mental health events in the community.
- Have training/experience in delivering spiritually integrated services.
- Write at least one mental health blog a quarter for marketing to the community through our website and other publications.
- Work with the community outreach team to implement marketing plans for their practice that complement the Summit's marketing plans.
Compensation
Our compensation model considers the therapist as a stakeholder. Each therapist is paid a percentage of client fees collected for services provided. Full-time therapists are expected to offer 30 hours per week of available appointments in order to reach an expected client load of about 22 - 25 client hours per week.

Pay: $55.00 - $82.50 per hour
