Job Description
We seek a trained mechanic to join our team at a Private Estate in Southampton, NY. This is a full-time, year-round job. Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30p range. Job duties include:
Maintain and inspect all vehicles on the properties to make sure they are operating smoothly. Make repairs when necessary.
General Qualification Guidelines:
Experience and Education -
- Prior mechanic experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -
- Knowledge of the operational parts of various types of vehicles.
- Thorough knowledge of the operation and installation of automotive system and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret part manuals and manufacturers’ repair manuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Should be physically fit.
Registration Certification or Licensure -
- Valid driver’s license.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities -
- Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the mechanics shop
- Produce and maintain a current shop parts inventory
- Order and stock routine items for the mechanics shop
- Monitor the outside usage of the shop tools and make sure they are returned to the shop
-Maintain the administrative system created for shop
- Keep individual files on each vehicle and piece of equipment owned by the company, as well as manuals, work tickets, and copies of itemized bills
- Make daily entries in the comprehensive vehicle binder
- Make daily summary notes on the provided work calendar to assist in monthly progress reports

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
