Job Description
A busy private practice located by Lake Michigan looking for a Registered Nurse with outstanding skills and human compassion to join our team. You will work under the supervision of a Physician and Administration. RN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Implement physicians’ orders, administer medications, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patients' needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Skills
- Proven experience as RN or similar role
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
- Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
- Perfect physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Critical Thinking: This skill set will allow to evaluate problems and take the necessary actions to solve them.
- Successful completion of RN license program is a must
Will possess at a minimum the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in both health care delivery
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Capable of navigating EMR, specific experience with Epic preferred
- Professional, patient-focused, timely, reliable, and capable of working within a team Assessing Performance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
