Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred: specialized mortgage and escrow processing.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient mathematics skills; proficient PC/keyboarding skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable software); moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; visual and auditory skills.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) year’s loan servicing experience with one (1) year experience in mortgage, commercial and/or consumer loan escrow processing or equivalent.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for processing escrow and insurance setup, analysis, maintenance and disbursements. Provides guidance to other associates, documents procedures, researches and corrects issues to support the loan escrow function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information; assisting the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations; performs special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties to support and work with commercial and/or consumer customers of which the following are illustrative:
a. Accountable for providing high level of customer service to internal and external customers with operational integrity.
b. Evaluates loans and performs escrow analysis both when requested and annually to ensure all escrowed loans remain compliant.
c. Prepares annual escrow analysis in accordance with state-established schedules.
d. Identify and resolve tax and escrow exceptions
e. Review system reports to proactively identify any issues on escrow accounts.
f. Identify potential issues or concerns and participated in a solution (including recommending and developing new policies and procedures.
g. Assists supervisor with performing quality control on processes and work to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and investor guidelines that relate to escrow tax.
