Job duties:
- Perform a variety of hands-on tasks and use laboratory tools and skills to synthesize oligonucleotides, reagents, and other biomolecules
- Conduct quality control of molecular kits, interpret and respond to validation data, and ensure production outputs meet all specifications of high quality reagents
- Develop and maintain daily production plans and logistics consistent with plant capacity and resources to meet inventory and shipment demands
- Contribute to developing and optimizing processes, improving efficiency and quality, and troubleshooting
- Maintain supply chain, create production forecast, conduct cost/price analysis, evaluate new and existing vendors, and source materials to support manufacturing and new product development
- Manage production staffs, by supervising, providing support/training, and setting priorities
- Evaluate technology and process capabilities of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and continuously develop and monitor plan for optimization of CMOs, include overseeing the execution of process transfer and capacity or productivity increases
- Actively participate in new product transfer and scaling up production processes
- Provide support for customers for all concerns, ranging from pre-sales ordering and educational to post-sales technical and logistics support
- Comply with all manufacturing, regulatory, and safety requirements
- Operate analytical equipment, including analytical scale, pH meter, spectrophotometer, and gel imager
- Support production by designing or acquiring fixtures or apparatus
- Track inventory including raw materials, work-in-process reagents, finished goods, and buffer inventory
- Maintain an organized, safe and efficient work area at all times
- Perform final inspection, packaging, and shipping
- Mix, store and dispose of chemical solutions (may include hazardous material)
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Preferred educational and experimental background:
BA/BS or equivalent and 2+ years of wet lab experience. Strong familiarity with standard laboratory practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A successful applicant must be dedicated, responsible, detail-oriented, well-organized, efficient and capable of working closely and communicating with others in the team. The following wet lab skills are required: polyacrylamide and agarose gel electrophoresis and general molecular biology experience. The following lab skills are preferred but not required: in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, oligonucleotide synthesis and labeling, HPLC purification, protein production and purification. General technical dexterity, dedication, and organization are strongly valued.

We determine your level based on your experience, skill, education, and other bona fide factors. The salary will fall within the bands below.
- Molecular Manufacturing and Operations Associate I: $50,000 - $74,000
- Molecular Manufacturing and Operations Associate II: $60,000 - $84,000
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
