CONTROLLER

Proform Group Inc. is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join its Leadership team located in Muskogee OK. This is not a remote position and travel is not required.
This is an exempt level position that is paid on a weekly basis. Benefits are offered after the first month of employment. Please see the below detailed description of the position prior to applying.
Summary: The Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including the day-to-day operations of corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and the development of internal control policy and procedures.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in processes and procedures related to the area of Finance. Excellent computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, outstanding mathematical skills, honesty, integrity, reliability, high attention to detail, organizational skills, critical thinking and problem skills, research skills, strong analytical skills, and understanding of data privacy standards are all required to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position successfully.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Direct Reports; 2 Staff Accountants
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor and train financial department staff
- Manage the general ledger and financial reporting process, including monthly reconciliation, month-end and year end closings
- Optimize, develop and maintain Accounting systems, processes, and procedures
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported in a timely manner in compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Create or prepare reports and financial statements
- Maintain and troubleshoot accounting and technology/software issues
- Communicate with customers regarding financial data
- Demonstrate accountability
- Report to work on a timely basis and maintain attendance in accordance with Proform policies.

- Communicate effectively between all levels of employees, departments, managers, and shifts.
- Maintain confidentiality of all written and oral information conveyed.

Preferred Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education, training and or experience that provides the preferred knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job is required.
Basic Education, Certifications and Specialized Training
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field is required. Experience in a manufacturing finance environment, management experience, and a strong skillset in Microsoft Excel is required.
Physical Requirements
Working environment is indoors in an office setting. Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, and handling; vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is moderately quiet but requires personal protective equipment if performing duties in the plant. (Safety glasses and or earplugs).
