Job Description:
In this position, you will be either a Lead Technician with an assigned Technician Helper, or you may simply start out as a Technician Helper. You will evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair general and complex sprinkler related issues (i.e., broken pvc pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, rain sensors, backflow preventers, cut wires, and more). You will plan and execute sprinkler system upgrades to maximize water conservation and meet the design needs of the customer. You will bill and invoice clients accordingly, and process customer payments at the time of the service via a tablet computer or smart phone. You can expect to be paid time and a half for all overtime hours worked, along with earned commissions (based on daily sales performance). The average take-home pay for either of these positions during peak-season (March-September) ranges from $900-$1,400 a week.
Skills:
Along with a valid driver's license, you must have a friendly personality, good communication skills, and a sincere determination and willingness to learn and to work hard. For a Lead Technician position, knowledge and experience repairing or installing sprinkler systems is REQUIRED!! Knowledge and experience with trenchers, multi-meters, valve and wire testers and locators are preferred but not required (we will train you). Applicants with some experience or none at all would begin as a Technician Helper, and will be trained to be able to move up to a Lead Technician position. Starting salary and subsequent raises as well as promotions will be based on your knowledge, experience and dedication.
