Job Title Instrument Air Assembly/ Field Technician Date Created / Modified 1/25/2023 Job Summary An Assembly/ Field Service Technician will travel to client sites to provide installation commissioning support and maintenance for Instrument Air units in the field. This position will also provide assembly support at the Instrument Air shop in Bayfield, CO. This person will use their technical skills to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customers equipment functioning properly. A Field Service Technician not only ensures the equipment is installed and working properly, but also manages customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities A successful Assembly/Field Service Technician candidate can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service Technician job duties including: Deliver, install and commission Instrument Air units.
Work with client site representatives to train how to use equipment properly, safely, efficiently and effectively.
Conducts routine inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment (equipment health and security).
Reviews and follows procedures to ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance requirements are achieved in accordance with company standards, manufactures recommendations and customers requirements.
Accurately completes documentation such as repair/maintenance issues, timesheets, expense reports, work orders, safe job plans, work permits.
Effectively maintains and utilizes tools and test equipment as needed.
Responds to operational emergencies/troubleshooting requests by customers.
May oversee contractors providing specialty services.
Supports assembly and testing of Instrument Air units at Bayfield, CO fabrication shop when not in the field.
This position requires that the person be reliable in terms of response time and attendance. This is essential to performing the job satisfactorily.
Reporting and Supervisory Relationships Reports To: Manager of Instrument Air division Required Qualifications 3-5 years experience as an Assembly/Field Technician or similar experience with complex machinery, controls, industrial maintenance and/or Oil and Gas Operations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Safe driving record.
Clean drug test history.
Ability to pass background check.

- Knowledge of pipe fittings and valves.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Equipment Used Computer, printer, copier, telephone, testing equipment, power and hand tools. Physical Requirements The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
- Ability to lift, carry 85 lbs., push and pull up to 150 lbs.
- Ability to work standing, walking or work on equipment for long periods of time.
Environmental Requirements Assembly technician work will be inside the fabrication shop standing, working on machinery and assembly of parts.

Hourly Wage Range: $30.00 - $43.00 depending on experience
