What you Need/Basic Qualifications:
- Two to five years’ experience as a staff accountant, five years preferred
- Knowledge and experience for general financial accounting and cost.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulations
- Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency with Excel (including advance functions such as VLOOKUP, Sum if, Pivot tables and other functions) and other MS Office software.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Education and Certification Needed:
· High School diploma or GED
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
What you’ll Do:
· Perform general cost accounting and other related duties.
· Maintain the general ledger.
· Assist in preparing periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Learn core accounts payable functions as a backup for the Accounts Payable Manager.
- Learn core cash application and remittance deposit functions as a backup.
- Assist in research and verification of commission calculations.
- Learn and assist in the margin audit processes.
- Assist in the weekly cash disbursement, voucher assembly, and check signing process.
- Learn and assist with all billing processes including researching transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned
- Analysis and invoice administration of gas credit card
- Foster teamwork with the Operations Department to improve transaction processes
- Support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices of the company.
- Performs tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending on individual circumstances
- Monday – Friday : 8am- 5pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
