JOB PROFILE (a summary of key responsibilities and subjective attributes): To serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Also, to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge.

Skills & Qualifications Essential
1) Minimum 2 years of craft bartending or related experience in an upscale establishment.
2) Fluency in the English language.
3) Possess a positive, outgoing and naturally curious personality.
4) Thorough knowledge of proper service.
5) Professional appearance and demeanor.
6) Excellent presentation and communication skills.
7) Exude a warm and sincere approach to guest service.
8) Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
9) Efficient, polite and aggressively hospitable.
10) High energy, flexible and adaptable.
11) Experience in “reading” guests/customers and anticipating their needs.
12) Proven ability to remember orders with accuracy.
13) Proven ability to memorize menu and drink items.
14) Ability to exercise patience and diplomacy.
15) Interdependent with the desire to take initiative and work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Desirable
1) Experience in hospitality or spa/fitness industry.
2) TIPS certification.
3) CPR certification.
4) Previous guest relations training.
5) Experience with InnQuest POS.
6) Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Ensure guest satisfaction at all times
2) Efficiently prepare and serve drinks to patrons in all areas
3) Accurately account and tend all opened guest checks submitted by servers
4) Arrive for work on time and in prescribed uniform to include name badge
5) Have a strong knowledge of drink recipes, wine list, and food and bar menu
6) Maintain accurate pars of all beverages in bar and reach in cooler
7) Use proper pour portions at all times
8) Follow check and cash handling procedures
9) Maintain cleanliness of entire bar area
10) Ensure glassware is clean and stocked with complete variety
11) Ensure room service requests are accurate and delivered at proper times
12) Ensure accurate accounting and posting of drink coupon ticket
13) Ensure itemized posting of type of beverage ordered
14) Assure all product is completely served and keys are returned to front desk
15) Respond to all other duties requested by guest and supervisor
16) Provide exemplary food & beverage service to guests at Cello Ristorante & Bar.
17) Proven ability to engage and connect with guests as they are seated, offering unique dining experience head above the rest.
18) Strong knowledge and experience of both food & wine.
19) Identify guests by name.
20) Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while constantly remaining alert to guests’ needs and desires while dining in the restaurant.
21) Personally handle guest concerns and complaints whenever possible, deferring to the manager/supervisor on-duty when necessary.
