POSITION TITLE : Marketing Services Specialist
POSITION PURPOSE: To support Paulaner USA with efficient and effective POS material and special event execution
This position is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of the development, production and distribution of all Paulaner USA point of sale (POS) and branded merchandising materials, including managing the POS inventory. The position will support the Brand Managers to ensure all POS is produced and delivered on time to both field sales and the company’s nearly 400 distributors nationwide. Essentially the traffic manager for all marketing materials, the role requires a project manager’s mentality to ensure all members of the commercial team (sales and marketing) are properly supported to help the company achieve its business goals. In addition to directly supporting the company’s marketing efforts, it also supports the field sales team in the development and execution of the Company’s special event sponsorships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish strong working relationships with the brand marketing teams, supporting agencies and senior level sales leadership to help translate brand strategies into effective and motivating sales promotion tools.
- Through and with the use of Paulaner USA’s proprietary web-based POS ordering system, (Biermarkt) manage the production, receipt and delivery of all POS and promotional material to wholesalers, PUSA Field Staff and retailers
- Develop and implement tools and processes to manage a third-party POS fulfillment house that delivers POS materials to wholesalers, special events, etc. (Note: POS sourcing may be handled by this third party on occasion.)
- Manage POS and promotional materials inventory to always ensure adequate inventory availability and manage replenishment process across a nearly 30 vendor universe. Managing and tracking the company’s inventory of pos and merchandising materials is a critical function to ensure the sales team and distributors have all they need to be successful. This role will not only coordinate the production of the necessary materials, but it will also provide monthly inventory updates to allow for the efficient replenishment of required materials.
- Develop and manage a Trimester Based Project Management System that effectively keeps a diverse constituency (Marketing, agencies, vendors, warehouses, etc.) on task. Develop, maintain and together with our agency support teams a Gantt chart project management system to deliver our annual marketing calendar.
- Manage the Sponsorship calendar to ensure all contractual obligations are met, all support materials are available, and all deadlines and field sales team requirements are executed. Travel to events may be required.
- Work with Brand Managers to coordinate publicity and social media activities for events to maximize their impact, reach and benefit to the brands and company
- Lead post event evaluation process to make recommendations for continuation or cancellation of existing events and potential new events submitted by the sales and marketing teams
- Coordinate with brand owners to ensure all brand creative guidelines are met and aligned. Counsel brand owners on opportunities that are unique to this market to expand potential creative platforms and tools.
- Manage Marketing Department’s SharePoint toolbox and website Image Library to ensure all communication materials, (art files, sales presentations, etc.) are up to date and available for use by sales teams, distributors and consumers. Work with agencies to ensure all art files are current and in compliance.
- Coordinate with the Company’s logistic department all shipping and delivery of materials from both outside vendors and overseas brand owners. Keep the organization informed of availability of new pos materials.
- Continue individual skill development through on-going training including VIP Business Systems, IRI Retail Tracking, NetSuite Enterprise Software, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Presentation Skills and Cicerone Beer Server Qualifications and Draft Beer Technical Training
POSITION CRITERIA (Experience, Education, etc.)
- Metro NY area residency, no relocation provided
- Ability to work at the Company’s White Plains, NY headquarters 3 days per week.
- Strong, Demonstrated Project Management skills.
- Inventory Control and Management experience.
- Previous experience in Beer Point of Sales development preferred.
- Beverage Alcohol Experience (Strong Familiarity with legal structure, promotion requirements and three tier system) preferred.
- Moderate travel to events, fulfillment providers and market visits for educational purposes. 2 Sales Meetings per year.
- Minimum College Degree or Commensurate Beverage Alcohol/Marketing experience.
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
- Exempt position
- Up to 10% Bonus opportunity
