- Diagnoseand treat both adults and pediatric patients
- ConductFederal Department of Transportation Medical Exams
- Collect,record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, andexamination results.
- Completepatient visit/encounter documentation in a timely fashion
- Directactivities of Medical Assistants, X-Ray Technologist, and other medical staffduring assigned shifts
- Explainprocedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Monitorpatients' conditions/progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Simple laceration repairs and manage/treat fractures by evaluating X-rays and applyingsplints
- Order,perform, and interpret diagnostic exams and imaging.
- Analyzerecords, reports, and examination information in order to diagnose and treatpatient conditions.
- Prescribeor administer treatments, medications, vaccinations, and other specializedmedical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Referpatients to Emergency Department or other practitioners when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduateof an accredited Physician’s Assistant/Family Nurse Practitioner Program
- Currentlyhold/maintain a license to practice as a Physician’s Assistant/Family Nurse Practitionerin the State of New York.
- Minimumof two(2) Years of post-licensure practice in an Emergency Department, UrgentCare or Family Practice
- Mustbe willing to obtain Department of Transportation Medical ExaminersCertification
- Flexibilityto work nights and weekends
