IMC is currently hiring a Scheduler, who assists physicians’ offices and patients in scheduling diagnostic and therapeutic services to be performed by the hospital. Ensures that pre-certification and insurance verification are done in a timely manner and that pre-certification has been obtained prior to any procedure being performed that requires this. Communicates patient financial responsibility to the patient OR communicates the patient’s insurance benefits to the Financial Counselor so that a proper quote of patient financial responsibility may be communicated to the patient. All employees are to communicate in a customer-friendly, professional manner to assist our patients, visitors and other customers. Every effort is made to have scheduled procedures pre-admitted and notified of financial responsibility 2 weeks in advance of their procedure. In the absence of the PFS Floater Scheduling assists with renaming, uploading, resorting and organizing of the orders in the RightFax system, Scheduling patients from faxed orders as needed.
EDUCATION

High school graduate or equivalent
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
-
Background of medical terminology and prior health care experience desirable.
- Two years related experience in a health care facility preferred.
- Knowledge of Insurance Verification/Precertification a plus
