Job Description
Assists in managing all engineering/maintenance and housekeeping related operations. Assists in maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant, cleanliness of guest rooms, public space, recreation and laundry. Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Supervises all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure highest quality workmanship and production
- Establishes schedules for, and oversees performance of all preventive maintenance activities
- Oversees/assists in the establishment and implementation of Life Safety and other emergency related procedures/training for all personnel
- Ensures maintenance of records of all maintenance/repairs performed as required by corporate policy and/or legal mandate
- Coordinates inspection and certification of all Life Safety systems and equipment as required by local ordinance
- Performs periodic, walk through/visual inspections of all property assets to determine condition, establish maintenance priorities and highlight areas where need for improvement exists
- Oversees/develops Engineering Department(s) operating budget(s) according to guidelines established by corporate policy
- Coordinates preparation of annual ADA compliance checklist
- Is able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory
- Have knowledge of OSHA procedures and training
- Maintain and repair general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, tubs, sinks, whirlpools, pools and drains
- Complete a weekly preventative maintenance logs, as well as QA documentation
- Maintain and test all life safety systems
- Assign, verify, and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system
Physical Requirements
- Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
- Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.
- Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
- Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to handle heat and stress
- Able to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

- On call
